The dream of Koch’s General Store started on the side of the road. For years John and our kids would sell homegrown produce and cinnamon rolls under a red tent on the side of the road in Macon. Those small beginnings grew into more fruit stands, and trucking up delicious peaches from Georgia. Each summer our customer base grew along with our kids Riley & Sam. When our youngest son Eli was 9 months old we bought a buffet restaurant building & renovated it quickly to be open for the holidays.

Over the last 7 years we have added dining space including a beautiful fireplace, an open fishbowl kitchen & a drive thru window- which was important as we bounced back after Covid. We have expanded from deli meats & cheese& cinnamon rolls to coffee, handcrafted drinks, amazing cookies, cupcakes, & freezer meals. Our store full of gifts & packaged foods now offer products from over 25 local vendors-including baskets, dip mixes, salsa, handmade purses, locally grown popcorn and more.

At Koch’s it’s our goal to be the friendliest stop of your day- that’s why we take such pride in our staff. Koch’s is staffed by amazingly friendly and knowledgeable staff. - Our staff are our biggest assets and we’re so happy they are sharing their talents with Macon through Kochs! Our store manager, Jordyn Harris has been with us since the beginning and can answer any question you may have about Kochs!
